Sweet and Savory Maple-Crusted Wild Salmon
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets, skin on (about 6 ounces each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- Fresh dill, for garnish
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and ground ginger.
Heat olive oil in a large, oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.
Pour the maple syrup mixture over the salmon fillets.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Garnish with fresh dill before serving.
