1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips


In a large saucepan, heat corn syrup and sugar over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until smooth.
Add crispy rice cereal to the peanut butter mixture and stir until well coated.
Press the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
Spread the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal layer in the baking dish.
Allow the Scotcheroos to cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator until set.
Once set, cut into bars and serve.
