Garlicky Swiss Chard and Chickpeas

A Symphony of Greens and Beans in Garlic Harmony

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard, stems removed and leaves chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.
Stir in chickpeas, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until chickpeas are heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss to combine and serve immediately.
